Dans le sud, pour une occasion spécifique, les femmes<br />
s’entourent de Lambalandy (soie) qu’elles nouent<br />
sur leurs poitrines tandis que les hommes, torse nu,<br />
portent des écharpes de la même matière appelées «<br />
Sadia », des chapeaux typiques en roseaux taillés dans<br />
une bosse de zébu ainsi que de shorts. Pour la coiffure<br />
des femmes, les cheveux sont tressés pour former des<br />
boucles autour de la tête. Hommes et femmes portent<br />
des colliers en grains de Vero (herbacées), un Salaka,<br />
pagne en soie épaisse nouée au niveau de la hanche<br />
pour les hommes et un tissu plus fin pour les femmes<br />
qui fait office à une ceinture. Les Antandroy et les<br />
Mahafaly, ethnies du sud de Madagascar pratiquent<br />
l’Antsandringa, un chant pour encourager les<br />
participants de Ringa (lutte) et invoquer les esprits ; ils<br />
se vêtent ainsi durant l’Antsandringa mais également<br />
durant d’autres cérémonies.<br />
In the south, for a specific occasion, the women wrap<br />
themselves in lambalandy (silk) which they tie around<br />
their chests while the men, bare-chested, wear scarves<br />
of the same material called "sadia" with hats typically<br />
made of reeds carved in a zebu bump as well as shorts.<br />
For women, the hair is braided to form curls around<br />
the head. Men and women wear vero (herbaceous)<br />
necklaces, a Salaka, thick silk loincloth knotted at<br />
the hip for men and a thinner fabric for women that<br />
serves as a belt. Antandroy and Mahafaly, ethnic<br />
groups of southern Madagascar practise Antsandringa,<br />
a song to encourage participants of Ringa (fight) and<br />
invoke spirits; they dress traditionally during the<br />
Antsandringa and also during other ceremonies.<br />
