1) General description
The new Heym SR 30 straight pull repeating rifle has provided hunters
with an easy to handle rifle with an unparalleled safety system. The
rifle has the classic form with modern technology. Heym has placed a
great deal of emphasis on safety with this system.
Safety and ease of handling are inseparable. That is the reason that
the bolt handle of Heym SR 30 is central point of both. Through the
bolt handle the rifle is loaded, unloaded, cocked and decocked, with a
cross bolt that prevents unintentional opening of the bolt, and unintentional
cocking of the rifle. The cross bolt is also used to hold the
bolt handle in the extreme rear position to aid in removal and inserting
of the bolt.
Note: Rifles equipt with single set trigger will automatically return to
the Normal (unset position) when rifle is decocked.
Warning: Rifles equipt with single set triggers should never be carried
with the trigger in the set position. This is a very dangerous practice as
the trigger is very sensitive at this setting and an unintentional
discharge could result. Only set the trigger when ready to fire.
