indee indonesia 2009 AT JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL EXPO KEMAYORAN 2 TO 5 DEC 2009 A landmark event for EEPC India INDEE Indonesia 2009 will be a landmark event for the organiser, EEPC India – it will be taking the INDEE (Indian Engineering Exhibition) to Indonesia for the third time – exactly 30 years after the first one in 1979 and the second in 2005. INDEE Indonesia 2009 will be held from 2 to 5 December 2009 at Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Hall C2, Jakarta, Indonesia. India is the ‘Partner Country’ at Manufacturing Indonesia 2009 (Manufacturing Machinery, Equipment, Materials and Services Exhibition), the official host of the exhibition. It is supported by the Embassy of India, Jakarta; Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN); Department of Industry, Republic of Indonesia; ASIMPI – Indonesian Machine Tool Industries Association; ASPEP – Association of Metalwork and Machinery; AIPPINDO – Indonesian Precision Tooling Industry Association; GIAMM – Indonesian Automotive Parts & Components Industries Association; HKI – Indonesian Industrial Estate Association; IMDIA – Indonesian Mould & Dies Industry Association; and GAMMA – Federation of Indonesian Metalworks & Machinery Industries Association. EEPC India was set up in 1955 under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India to promote exports of engineering goods, projects and services from India. With nearly 13,000 Indian firms as members, EEPC India has transformed India’s engineering exports: from just US$10 million in 1956-57, engineering exports climbed to US$40 billion in 2008-09. Over the last 30 years, Indian engineering has seen a sea-change. It is the largest segment in Indian industry and employs about 4 million skilled and semi-skilled workers. The huge growth powered by large investments in power projects and infrastructure development and the growth in India's manufacturing sector has seen the development of cutting-edge capabilities in product development and advanced manufacturing technology.
