L’ineluttabile ciclo della trasformazione è qualcosa che
interessa la nostra casa così come il mondo attorno
a noi. nell’ideare i miei articoli d’arredamento c’è
una cosa che mi resta sempre impressa nella mente:
occorre raggiungere la perfetta unione con l’interno che
costantemente si rinnova. Giorgio saporiti, conosciuto
come una “fucina di idee”, possiede una grande
poliedricità di talenti che spaziano dal design per tessuto,
arredamento e tappeti alla fotografia. colori sgargianti,
di grande impatto visivo e quasi provocanti sono
sicuramente i veri protagonisti della vita di Giorgio saporiti
e ciò viene testimoniato dal modo in cui egli lavora e vive.
nonostante la sua profonda devozione per la “tinta”, il
designer preferisce un arredamento dai tagli netti e profili
ben distinti. nella collezione firmata il Loft si riflettono, in
egual modo, sia i colori dell’artista professionale sia i colori
vivaci e sgargianti dettati dall’industria della moda.
La collezione di Giorgio saporiti riflette le caratteristiche nel
mondo moderno. Lo stesso stilista afferma:
“noi siamo sempre in movimento, costantemente tentati
dalle immagini del cinematografo, dell’arte, della pubblicità,
della moda. cerchiamo il nostro riflesso rivolgendoci
sempre al nuovo: gli ultimi colori, gli ultimi materiali,
un ristorante di recente apertura. siamo le vittime fortunate
della globalizzazione. abbiamo il privilegio della vasta scelta
e corriamo il rischio di perderci fra la moltitudine delle cose.
Le mie creazioni aiutano una persona a fare la propria
scelta personale”.
the inescapable cycle of change invariably affects our homes
as well as the world around us. when i design furniture
i bear one thing in mind: how to achieve perfect harmony
with the continuously renewed interior. Giorgio saporiti,
who is known as a “creative dynamo”, encompasses an
amazing amount of talent, ranging from fabric, furniture and
carpet design to photography. the arresting, eye-catching,
somewhat provocative colours play a central role in Giorgio
saporiti’s life, and this can been seen in the way he lives
and works. despite being inordinately fond of “colour”, the
designer prefers clean-cut furniture with distinct outlines.
the colours of the professional artist and the fashion
industry’s bright, gaudy shades are reflected equally in the
Loft collection. Giorgio saporiti’s collection reflects the
characteristics of the modern world. “we are always on the
move, always tempted by the images we see at the cinema,
in art, in advertising and in fashion,” states the designer.
“we are searching for our reflection by constantly looking for
new things: the latest colours and fabrics, a recently opened
restaurant. we are the fortunate victims of globalisation.
we are privileged to have a vast choice but run the risk of
losing ourselves in the midst of so many things. my creations
help a person to make the right individual choice.”
