Electronic Filter
The electronic filter protects the laser detector against bright sunlight
and electromagnetic interference.
Accuracy Check of the Measuring Tool
Apart from exterior influences, device-specific influences (such as heavy
impact or falling down) can lead to deviations. Therefore, check the
accuracy of the measuring tool each time before starting your work.
Checking the Horizontal Line from Front to Rear (see Fig. C1)
– Choose two walls approx. 5 m apart.
– Put the measuring tool into the mounting bracket 7 and set it up centered
between two walls (2.5 m clearance to each wall).
– Press the operating mode button 3.
– Project the cross onto both walls by rotating the measuring tool and
mark the points where the laser beams intersect.
– Move the measuring tool to within 60 cm of one of the two walls and
mark two new points.
– Measure the height difference between the marked points on both
walls (D1 and D2).
If the difference between D1 and D2 is less than 3 mm, the measuring
tool is properly calibrated.
If the difference between the two points is greater than 3 mm, the measuring
tool must be calibrated.
Checking the Horizontal Line from Side to Side (see Fig. C2)
– Put the measuring tool into the mounting bracket 7 and set it up 5 m
from a wall.
– Press the operating mode button 3.
– Mark the point where the laser beams intersect and another point (A)
along the horizontal laser line 2.5 m away.
– Rotate the measuring tool so that the point where the laser beams
intersect is projected 5 m away from the first intersection point (A).
The deviation of the horizontal laser line from the previously marked point
(A) should not be greater than 3 mm.
Note: The measuring tool is factory-calibrated and requires no further
calibration. Should calibration of the measuring tool be necessary,
please refer to your dealer or an authorised service agent for Bosch
power tools.
