RAJASTHAN CENTRAL<br />
Kishangarh : Four pairs of eyes were donated<br />
during the month of June. Eye Donation is a unique<br />

project of the branch. A total of 97 pairs of eyes<br />
have been donated till date.<br />
PUNJAB NORTH<br />
Pathankot : ECG Machine was installed on<br />
2 nd June 2013 by branch at its diagnostic center<br />
which was inaugurated by Dr. Mohinder Pal. This<br />
additional facility provided by the branch shall go a<br />
long way to help the needy patients.<br />
Free arthritis camp cum seminar was held on<br />
2 June 2013 which was conductd by Dr. Sanjeev<br />
Mahajan, Associate Prof. of Dayanand Medical<br />
College, Ludhiana. More than 125 patients were<br />
exmained who also participated in the seminar. The<br />
event was supported by M/s Sumith & Nephew Pvt.<br />
Ltd. Mumbai.<br />
Dr. Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana : Organised a<br />
'Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp' on 9 th June<br />
2013 at BVP Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar,<br />
where artificial limbs, calipers, tricycles, hearing<br />
aids etc. were given to 85 physically handicapped<br />
persons. Jeevan Dhawan, Member, Punjab<br />
Subordinate Services Selection Board was the Chief<br />
Guest. Such camps inculcate a spirit of selfconfidence<br />
among the physically challenged<br />
persons for becoming self-dependent, he said. Suraj<br />
Jyoti, President of the Trust presided over the<br />
function. He said that the Trust has provided<br />
artificial limbs etc. calipers, tricycles, wheel chairs<br />
to more than 39,000 physically challenged persons<br />
so far. He further said that regular camps are also<br />
held every month for performing polio operations<br />
and we have already performed over 2,000 free Polio<br />
operations successfully.<br />
PUNJAB EAST<br />
Samana : Organized Viklang Sahayata and<br />
hearing aids camp on 16 th June 2013 under the<br />
presidentship of Vijay Dawar. 250 patients were<br />
examined. 125 patients were selected for artificial<br />
limbs and hearing aids.<br />
Chandigarh South-I : Branch organised a<br />
blood sugar camp on 13 th April 2013 at Municipal<br />
Park, Sector-47. About 140 citizens toook benefit<br />
of the camp. Sh. Devesh Moudgil, Municipal<br />
Counsellor attended the camp and appreciated the<br />
efforts of the <strong>Parishad</strong> for the benefit of the common<br />
people.<br />
Chandigarh west-II : On 03.06.2013<br />
organized eye checkup and care camp at vill. dhanas<br />
in the premises of Govt. Senior Secondary School.<br />
110 patients were checked out of that 9 patients<br />
were having cataract. Their operations have been<br />
got done free in the laboratory of BVP with the help<br />
of Zidiya Trust.<br />
Malerkotla : Branch organised eye checkup<br />
camp for the students of Govt. Middle and Primary<br />
School of village Ratolan. Dr. Ishwar Singh M.S.<br />
(Eye) from Civil Hospital examined about 200<br />
students. Sh. Rajesh Kumar Opthalmologist<br />
checked the eye vision through sight reading.<br />
Branch provided medicines and spects to the needy<br />
students.<br />
ASSAM<br />
Silchar : Branch organised an eye camp at<br />
199 Bandhan Goola L P School, Lowerbund about<br />
42 km south of Silchar Town. Medical team from<br />
Silchar Lions Eye Hospital examined 148 patients.<br />
29 patients were selected for cataract operation,<br />
who were operated upon on 19 th June and released<br />
on 20 th June and dropped back to camp site. Free<br />
medicines were given to all patients. 66 pairs of<br />
spectacles were distributed to needy patients.<br />
Barjalenga Pioneer Sangha extended logistic<br />
support.<br />
Organized two cattle Vaccination camps at<br />
Barjalenga and Barsangan at the outskirts of Silchar<br />
on 26 th May & 2 nd June 2013 respectively. The camps<br />
were attended by veterinarian Dr. Kalyan Pathak<br />
