Gurdaspur : Branch organised 153 th
anniversary of Guru Rabinder Nath Tagore in Tagore
Memorial Sr. Sec. School under the Presidentship
of Principal Shama Sharma on 09.05.2013. A paper
reading competition on the life & teachings of Great
Poet was also organised in English, Hindi and
Punjabi languages. President gave away the prizes
to the winners.
Branch organised a function in Sayoti mata
mandir where Mrs. Santosh Riar President
Municipal commitee presided. Twenty trees were
planted in the mandir park. Mohalla people were
also present on that occasion.
Dr. Kitchlu (Ludhiana) : Organised Bal
sanskar shivir on 25 th May 2013 at Shaiwal High
School. About 60 children of classes IV to VIII
attended the camp. They were told about cleanliness,
personal hygiene, healthy and balanced diet,
exercise and pranayam, discipline, respect for
women, water conservation, punctuality and other
aspects of a good personality. GVCA and
declamation contest on life and teachings of Sikh
gurus was also held. Sh. Bharat Bhushan Ashu,
MLA was the chief guest who gave away prizes to
the winners. He praised the efforts of the parishad
for inculcating moral values among the children and
assured of his whole hearted support. Sh. Parveen
Gupta from Taj Reetha Detergent powder was the
guest of honour who inaugurated the camp. Sh.
Chander Mohan Sharma National Convenor, Health
presided. The presence of Sh. Balkar Singh and
Narinder Sharma Kala, MCL Councillors added
special grace to the function. Smt. Alka Mehan,
Principal of the school welcomed the guests and
Smt. Neelam Thapar, Org. Secy. presented vote of
thanks. The programme was sponsored by Taj
Reetha Detergent Powder.
Shahpurkandi Township : State level
workshop hosted by the branch was held at Laxmi
Narayan Mandir attended by 152 delegates from
40 branches. Sh. Lalit Mahajan, All India Vice
President presided over the function.
Pathankot : Branch released its directory on
2 nd June 2013. Since this was a maiden effort, it
was appreciated by all.
PUNJAB SOUTH
Raman : In a meeting of the branch held on
22.06.2013 at Presidents shop, the branch members
condoled the death of Uttrakhand victims and
passed a resolution to help the victims.
HARYANA NORTH
Karan, Karnal : Organised chhabeel on the
occasion of nirjala ekadashi. People enjoyed sweet
water and bread pakora.
HARYANA SOUTH
Faridabad NIT : Branch organised shapath
and dayitva grahan samaroh on 16.06.2013 at Vaish
Bhawan for the new office bearers. Sh. D.R. Sharma
Secretary Fbd. Administration was the chief guest
and Sh. Sohan Lal Aggarwal, Sh. Raj Kumar
Aggarwal and Sh. Ajay Aggarwal & Mrs. Seema
Trikha (Councillor) were special guests. President,
Secretary of 3 branches also graced the function.
Sewing machines were distributed to the needy
women on the occasion. Celebrated nirjala ekadashi
and distributed meetha jal at Industrial area. Thanks
to Vee Gee industries.
HARYANA WEST
Ratia : Branch celebrated nav samvat 2070
with havan yagya in Shree Bala ji Mandir Nahar
Colony. New elected team took oath in the same
function. Maximum members of BVP and many
other more people of Ratia were present there.
GUJARAT NORTH
Gandhinagar : Branch has adopted Govt.
Primary School Fatepura to encourage the deprived
school children. On 22 nd June branch organized
shala praveshotsav wherein 20 students of class 1
were admitted. Students of class 3 to 8 performed
yoga and group songs etc. Prizes were also
distributed. Branch Trustee Shri Praveenbhai
Vaghasia delivered a short blissful lecture. Tree
plantation was also done.
GUJARAT CENTRAL
Prant organised annual general meeting on
19.05.2013 at Atma Hall, Ashram Road, A' bad.
