Sanyojika from branches attended the meeting.<br />
Isanpur : During summer vacation branch<br />
arranged a night carrom tournament for family<br />
members. 60 participants took part under three<br />
different categories. It helped in bounding of family<br />
members. Branch arranged for distribution of good<br />
quality note books at very affordable cost. Staff of<br />
physiotherapy centre handled this distribution<br />
activity. It was an effective platform for prachar and<br />
prasar of BVP. During Abhaysvarg for the committee<br />
members Shi Himatsinh Rathod and Shri<br />
Gunavantbhai Soni, Shri Vinodbhai Shah and Dr.<br />
Jagdish Rana shared their thoughts and gave<br />
valuable guide lines. At the end members were<br />
having a satisfaction with the planning and home<br />
work done by them and clarity about their rolls and<br />
responsibility given to them.<br />
DELHI SOUTH<br />
A Block, Janakpuri : The branch organized<br />
two dental camps in the adopted J.J. Colony in which<br />
40 persons were the beneficiaries. In four PD camps<br />
162 children attended. Hawan was performed in the<br />
said basti attended by a large number of locals.<br />
Emphasis was laid on dedication. Old clothes were<br />
collected by the project incharge for distribution<br />
among the needy. Medicines being collected at<br />
different collection centres and donated by senior<br />
members Dr. (Col.) Suraj Prakash and Dr. A.K.<br />
Kaushik, Prominent Physician cum Cardiologist are<br />
being regularly supplied to chikitsa vibhag of sewa<br />
basti Delhi for onward distribution to the needy. Mrs.<br />
Devinder Kaur Gandhi along with her associate Mrs<br />
Khurana and Mrs. Grover presented melodious<br />
Shabad pertaining to the life and deeds of Shri Guru<br />
Arjan Dev jee. Brig (Retd.) B.P.S. Lamba, President<br />
Shri Guru Singh Sabha also addressed the<br />
gathering.<br />
Janakpuri Main : A meeting of the general<br />
body was held at Shri S.D. Mandir on 16 th May 2013<br />
wherein newly elected office bearers took oath<br />
administered by Sh. M.L. Arora. On this occasion a<br />
sewing machine & scholarship for full current<br />
academic year were given to needy persons. A bal<br />
sanskar shivir was organized on 20.05.2013 to<br />
02.06.2013 inaugurated by Smt. Rajni Mamtani<br />
Councillor. About 108 students participated & learnt<br />
the art of yoga & pranayam from eminent<br />
yogarcharyas. On the concluding day branch<br />
honoured the yogarcharyas & School Principals.<br />
Sh. Banwari Lal Garkhil from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan<br />
was the main speaker & Sh. Kuldeep Deora was<br />
the chief guest. Prizes & certificates were also<br />
awarded to the partricipants.<br />
Alaknanda : Rs 15000.00 were remitted by<br />
the son of Smt. Shashi Azad directly to BVP HQ<br />
towards vanvasi sahayata. Rs. 4500 has been<br />
paid by the branch for scholarship of a poor<br />
student for his graduation study. Rs. 25000 has<br />
been paid by Sh. Vishal Gupta, nephew of Mrs.<br />
Shashi Azad, to DAV School Yushaf Sarai New<br />
Delhi towards tuition fees of poor students for<br />
the session 2012-13.<br />
WEST U.P.<br />
Sahibabad Main : Prantiya workshop was<br />
held on 5 th May at Krishna Engg. College Sahibabad<br />
hosted by the branch. Sh. S.C. Gupta (Reshtriya<br />
Sangathan Mantri), Sh. K.D. Gupta (Sanyukt<br />
Rashtriya Mahamantri), Sh. Naveen Kumar<br />
(Rastriya Mantri), Regional Chairman, Regional<br />
Organising Secretary, Prantiya President, Gen.<br />
Secy. Treasurer, other regional secretaries etc. were<br />
present. There were about 300 membes from<br />
Prantiya Karyakarini, branch dayitvadhari and<br />
branch members. Branch dayitva grahan samaroh<br />
was also held where first publication of our state<br />
magazine was also released by Dr. Sheel Parihar.<br />
Branch gave Rs. 31,000 for Viklang sewa and Rs.<br />
21,000 for vanvasi kalyan yojna.<br />
AVADH PRADESH<br />
Purvi Lucknow : Meeting of the core<br />
commitee was held. Piyau project is continuing its<br />
operation for the last one month in Vivek Khand,<br />
Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.<br />
