Venturi, aziona tre turbine eoliche<br />
sostenute da altrettanti elementi orizzontali<br />
che collegano strutturalmente le torri.<br />
5. ALCUNE CONCLUSIONI<br />
PRELIMINARI<br />
La presente memoria pone in risalto talune<br />
peculiarità della realizzazione degli edifici<br />
nei riguardi di numerosi altri settori della<br />
tecnica e dell’ingegneria. Mentre l’evoluzione<br />
degli aeroplani, delle imbarcazioni, delle<br />
automobili, dei treni, dei mulini a vento e di<br />
vari altri prodotti della tecnologia evidenzia<br />
un processo continuo di ottimizzazione<br />
della forma, finalizzato a prestazioni ed esigenze<br />
stilistiche che raramente hanno il sopravvento<br />
sugli obiettivi della sicurezza, della<br />
funzionalità e dell’economicità, sino alla<br />
fine del ‘900 l’edificio civile rimane avulso da<br />
questa visione: dapprima un architetto concepisce<br />
la forma su basi prevalentemente<br />
stilistiche; successivamente un ingegnere<br />
rende strutturalmente sicura ed efficiente<br />
una forma predefinita e immutabile.<br />

Questa tendenza mostra chiari sintomi di<br />
mutamento nell’ultima decade del ‘900,<br />
quando nascono numerose ricerche, riconducibili<br />
a dieci filoni distinti, finalizzate<br />
a ottimizzare la forma degli edifici su basi<br />
aerodinamiche. Nella maggior parte dei<br />
casi queste ricerche sono svolte presso laboratori<br />
accademici, oppure si riferiscono<br />
a interpretazioni sperimentali successive a<br />
concezioni architettoniche ispirate a motivi<br />
strettamente simbolici. Le rare esperienze<br />
di progetti concepiti congiuntamente da<br />
architetti, ingegneri e aerodinamici portano<br />
a proposte non realizzate.<br />
Una successiva memoria [1] dimostra che,<br />
con l’avvento del terzo millennio, i dieci filoni<br />
sopra citati convergono in una nuova filosofia<br />
progettuale dove l’architetto e l’ingegnere<br />
strutturista trovano un punto di incontro<br />
e simbiosi nel ruolo della forma intesa come<br />
interfaccia fra le esigenze stilistiche e un processo<br />
di ottimizzazione rivolto a garantire<br />
delle prestazioni. Ne scaturisce una visione<br />
rinnovata, la progettazione aerodinamica integrata,<br />
dalla quale emerge una moltitudine<br />
di opere che manifestano segni e tendenze<br />
in parte propri di altri settori abituati da tempo<br />
a questa visione, in parte innovativi e già<br />
peculiari degli edifici moderni.<br />
