drammatici, cosa deve succedere qui e cosa deve succedere là...
E, all’ora di
actor with great care and spent a lot of time on the dubbing
which allowed him to cut or modify both scenes and dialogue”.
Giancarlo Giannini, actor
“The character of the detective that I play in the movie (Mi manda
Picone - Where’s Picone?- Editor’s note - ) was expanded by me
during the shooting of the film. Any director knows he has to
leave some slack both for intuition and imagination - playing the
lead in a movie is certainly not easy, it’s difficult even for a really
good actor to hold the public’s attention scene after scene. (…)
Of course, if he sees something he’s not happy with, he’ll say to
you: “Look, this is the way I see this bit …” and then you, as an
actor, explain your own point of view, because after all you’re not
a butcher, you are someone that has studied the script all night,
you analyzed it and you have thought out all the possible combinations
(…),for example the dramatic moments, what’s supposed
to happen here and what there …The actor’s job is not an easy
one: you have to flex your nature, you must never be ashamed of
what you’re doing, you must be able to work off the cuff”.
Leo Gullotta, actor
“Nanni deeply respected the actor’s humanity, and this stemmed
from the fact that he was an extremely civil person. He respected
the actor’s creativity and opinions and he was always willing
to talk things through. In spite of the fact his screenplays were
written in stone, once on the set everything came into play again
and Nanni assessed new ideas with the greatest respect, some-
