The remainder of the cities acting as local hubs all have a population
between 10,000 and about 50,000 inhabitants:
Olbia (pop. 52,000), Nuoro (36,000), Oristano (32,000),
Carbonia (30,000), Iglesias (27,000); Villacidro (14,000), Tempio
Pausania (14,000); Guspini (12,000), Arzachena (12,000),
Sant’Antioco (11,000); La Maddalena (11,000), Siniscola
(11,000). Ozieri (11,000), Macomer (11,000), Terralba (10,000)
and Tortolì (10,000).
The minor centres, with less than 10,000 inhabitants, include
two towns which are provincial capitals: Sanluri (8,000) and
Lanusei (6,000).
