Scegliemmo di dotare la Sabelt di strutture interne che qualificassero itessuti in modo chiaro e incontrovertibile, con macchinari in grado di effettuare internamente i test a fuoco(esposizione alla fiamma e trasmissione del calore), ai lavaggi (restringimento e tenuta del colore) ed allatrazione. E tutte queste prove sono ripetute su ogni lotto di tessuto in arrivo, a campione su ogni pezza.QUALITY OF FABRICSThe process began many years ago. We decided to equip Sabelt with internal structures that qualifyfabrics in a clear way, with machines able to perform in-house fire (flame exposure and heat transmission),washing (shrinkage and color fastness) and traction tests. And all these tests are repeated on eacharriving batch of fabrics, a sample on each piece.OBIETTIVO TRASPIRABILITA’Il confort del pilota è una delle componenti che ne aumentano la reattività e la sicurezza. Questo principioè stato alla base di uno studio attento che ha portato ad una scelta importante ed esclusiva: il confort nonè legato alla sola leggerezza, ma costruito attraverso alcuni strumenti e caratteristiche fra cui morbidezza,vestibilità, possibilità di movimento e soprattutto traspirabilità. The chain of domesticproduction (CAD design,cutting and stiching), quality of embroidery and the recent introduction of waterprints, allow to provide a unique service which is used by Ferrari Challenge, Citroen WRC, Aston Martin,Renault Sport and Abarth.L’ELASTICO MONOSTRATO IGNIFUGO BIDIREZIONALENon è un caso: Sabelt è l’unica azienda nel mondo Motorsport ad avere a disposizione un elastico, creatosu una base di fibre ignifughe, che lavora meccanicamente nelle due direzioni e composto da un solostrato singolo. Ecco perché si tratta di una rivoluzione:MADE IN ITALY- Le fibre elastiche sono tradizionalmente sintetiche e quindi NON ignifughe. Di fatto, in passato, tutti glielastici utilizzati dovevano essere ricoperti da un sandwich ignifugo per non essere a contatto con la pelleo con l’ambiente.- Le maglie ignifughe utilizzate per i punti di movimento come spalle, braccia o schiena NON sono elasticiveri e propri ma più semplicemente materiali soffici cedevoli, che si deformano dopo l’uso ed i lavaggi,soffrono il peeling e lavorano meccanicamente sempre e solo in una direzione.Il nuovo elastico Sabelt è tenace e garantisce sempre il ritorno in posizione, durante la performance,ai lavaggi e nel tempo. Si flette in entrambe le direzioni garantendo il movimento in ogni situazione.E’ completamente ignifugo ed è stato omologato in un solo strato: ciò ne consente l’uso come partestrutturale della tuta, senza coperture, amplificando l’effetto “movimento” ed alleggerendo il sandwich.Infine, la trama eseguita rende la banda elastica robusta e resistente al peeling e all’abrasione.THE BI DIRECTIONAL FIRE RESISTANT ELASTICIt’s not a coincidence : Sabelt is the only company in motorsport to use an elastic, made by fire resistantfibers, that mechanically works in the two directions and composed by only a single layer. That’s why itis a revolution:- The elastic fibers are traditionally synthetics and for that reason are NOT fire resistant. In the past, allelastics used had to be covered by a fire resistant sandwich to avoid the contact with the driver’s skin orwith the outside.- The fire resistant mesh used for motion points as shoulders, arms or back ARE NOT real elastic butsimply soft materials, which are deformed after use and washings, suffer peeling and work mechanicallyalways in one direction.Sabelt’s new elastic is tenacious and always grants the return position, during performance, to washingsand to usage. It flexes in either direction to ensure the movement in every situation. It is totally fireresistant and it has been homologated in one single layer: this enables the use as structural part of thesuit, without covers, amplifying the effect and enlightening the sandwich. Finally, the used weave makesthe elastic band peeling and abrasion resistant.LA CUCITURA SPALLA SPOSTATA SUL RETRO SPALLAE’ ormai diffuso e comune l’uso del collare per la protezione della testa e del collo. L’impatto suicomponenti che gravitano nell’area di applicazione di questo strumento di sicurezza è importante, tantoda determinare lo studio e la ricerca di soluzioni che rendano compatibili le varie parti. Anche la tuta ècoinvolta, nell’area delle spalle, dove la cucitura portante può essere molto scomoda. Abbiamo testatocon successo una duplice soluzione:- la cucitura è stata spostata sul retro della spalla, arretrata di circa 10 cm e tolta dalla zona di pressionedel collare. E’ fondamentale: il collare, una volta fissato, viene vincolato con la pressione delle cinture edogni sporgenza o spessore può causare fastidio. Nel nostro caso è stata rimossa dall’area superiore dellaspalla ogni sovrapposizione, ogni cucitura, riducendo lo spessore al solo sandwich e usando per il logoSabelt solo un ricamo sottile. Niente è lasciato al caso perché ogni piccolo dettaglio contribuisce in modoimportante alla performance finale.THE SHOULDER STICHING MOVED ON THE REARIt’s now widespread and common the use of Hans collar to protect head and neck. In our case we removed from the top of the shoulder everyoverlap and every seam reducing the thickness to the only sandwich and using for Sabelt logo only athin embroidery.
