Il sentiero siimmerge all’interno del bosco igrofilo, caratterizzatodalla presenza di Frassino ossifillo e Salice bianco,ma come in un mosaico di ambienti il sito presentaanche zone a prato umido, bassure allagate concariceti e canneti e specchi di acqua aperti dovedomina la Ninfea bianca.Tutti questi ambienti rendonoPunte Alberete l’ecosistema di maggiore importanzaconservazionistica del Parco del Delta del Po. The trail dips into the flooded forest,characterized by the presence of White Willow andNarrow-leafed Ash, the site also has areas of wetmeadow, flooded lowlands with sedge and reed bedsand ponds with water dominated by Water Lily. Becauseof the presence of a big variety of environments PunteAlberete represents the most important ecosystem ofthe Po Delta Park. In the northern part of the path,S.S. 309 RomeaCa’ Vecchiaparte settentrionale del sentiero, attrezzata con unaschermatura e un capanno per il birdwatching èpossibile effettuare osservazioni anche ravvicinatedi specie altrove molto rare: Martin pescatore,Marangone minore, Fistione turco.Numerose e varie sono le specie di Ardeidi e Anatidiche si possono osservare, va segnalata la presenza dialcune coppie di Moretta tabaccata, bellissima specieminacciata di estinzione a livello globale, che si puòosservare in primavera-estate. Altro avvistamentodegno di nota è il Mignattaio, simbolo dell’oasi,visibile da aprile a settembre. Il percorso è fruibiletutto l’anno e in ogni stagione il sito offre paesaggiunici.
