Headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, DKB is a cabinet manufacturer, dealer, and installer serving the state of Florida. DKB uses solid American Hardwoods in its manufacturing, including Maple, Cherry, Oak and Walnut. All of their cabinet building is carried out in the United States. “Our partnership with DKB will further our product expansion in Florida, an important area of growth for the company,” said Larry Barr, CEO of Artisan Design Group. ADG is a provider of design, procurement, and installation services for flooring, cabinets and countertops, serving homebuilders, multifamily developers and institutional property owners. Headquartered in Dallas, TX, ADG operates more than 135 distribution, design and service facilities and coordinates installation through over 2,500 personnel across 25 states. Founded in 1982, The Sterling Group is a private equity and private credit investment firm that targets investments in basic manufacturing, distribution, and industrial services companies. WORTHINGTON ARCHITEC- TURAL MILLWORK EXPANDS, ADDS JOBS Worthington Architectural Millwork will invest .473 million, over the next three years, to expand its manufacturing operation in Orange County, VA. Worthington Architectural Millwork specializes in high-end residential custom cabinetry, custom millwork, commercial interiors, and museum exhibit fabrication. The expansion is anticipated to create 26 new jobs over the next three years. Worthington Architectural Millwork uses solid U.S. Hardwoods, including Poplar, Hard and Soft Maple, White Oak and Walnut, in their production. The company manufactures only in the United States. The Economic Development Authority incentivized Worthington Architectural Millwork to keep its operations in Orange County by offering a discounted land sale in exchange for their .473 million investment. Worthington Architectural Millwork has been headquartered in Liberty Park located in Gordonsville, VA since 2015, and is a SWaM (Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business) Certified Small Woman- Owned Business in the Commonwealth of Virginia. VERMONT GRANT PROGRAM AVAILABLE TO COVER PERMITTING COSTS FOR VALUE-ADDED FOREST PRODUCTS BUSINESSES The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation (FPR) recently announced the availability of grant funds to cover permitting costs for businesses engaged in adding value to forest products. The Vermont Value-Added Forest Products Permitting Assistance Grant Program (FPPA Grants) has ,000 to award grants ranging from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of ,000. Funds for this program are state funds allocated by the Vermont Legislature and signed into law by Governor Scott. To be eligible, businesses must be in Vermont and be primarily engaged in adding value to forest products, such as sawmills, firewood processors, and furniture makers. Businesses that are limited to the activities of logging and forestry are not eligible.
