HARDWOOD FEDERATION 2010

HARDWOOD FEDERATION 2010 - 2011 A Look Back And A Look Ahead by DEB HAWKINSON Executive Director Hardwood Federation Washington, D.C. As the new year begins and we look ahead to our goals and objectives for the year, it’s worth taking a quick look back to examine HF and HFPAC accomplishments for the year gone by, see where we fell short, and a brief look at what we expect in 2011. One of our greatest successes of 2010 was the passage of Senate Resolution 411. The Hardwood resolution was a companion piece to House Resolution 81 that passed in 2009. The resolutions are glowing endorsements of our industry as a green building resource – not only praising our environmental responsibility and the sustainable nature of the industry, but also calling attention to the important economic contribution we make.
