East Coast Specialty Hardwoods is a manufacturer of mouldings and plank flooring, in addition to custom profiles, milling, laminating, and door jambs. Purchasing approximately 350,000 board feet of Hardwood lumber per year, the company mainly handles Hard Maple, Red Oak, Poplar (FAS, Select and Better, and FAS1F), as well as Genuine Mahogany. Chapman graduated from Riverview Rural High School, in Sydney River, NS, and Dartmouth Regional Vocational School, in Dartmouth. Chapman’s responsibilities with the company include quality control, overseeing deadlines, managing machine maintenance, purchasing and maintaining supplier relations. He has worked in this position for 22 years, with his first job in the forest products industry being that of a furniture maker in 1984. Conley Millwork specializes in the manufacture of small mouldings like the Red Oak shoe mouldings, as well as crowns, casings, chair rails and base boards. Over 120,000 board feet of Hardwood lumber is purchased per year. Species include Red Oak, Poplar and Soft Maple (FAS, 4/4, 5/4, KD and rough), as well as yellow pine, Eastern white pine, and exotics as needed. Conley founded Conley Millwork over 30 years ago and currently manages the purchase of all lumber, machinery and supplies. His first position in the forest products industry was in furniture manufacturing in the early 1970’s. Conley Millwork is a member of the Appalachian Lumbermen’s Club and received the E.K. Pittman Manufacturer’s Safety Award in 2002 from Forestry Mutual Insurance Company. Conley enjoys bird hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, flying, grilling and barbecuing, camping and making craft beer. He has been married to Carey Sherrill Conley for 42 years and has two daughters. As plant manager Frazier handles all aspects of facility operations, including lumber purchasing, scheduling, human resources, dry kiln operation, AP/AR and plant safety. Missouri Hardwood Products is a member of the National Wood Flooring Association. Frazier enjoys sports, especially watching basketball. She is married to Stacy and the couple has two sons.
