She also acknowledged that TFM scaled back this year and held the event in buildings 4-6 rather than open showrooms in all six buildings. The chairman of the TFM, V.M. Cleveland, acknowledged in published reports they’d received calls from people who hadn’t attended in years, but their stores were performing well and they couldn’t get new product. So they were traveling to Tupelo to source for their stores. He also stated that last minute cancellations were occurring for various reasons, including those who reported new positive cases of the coronavirus (COV- ID-19) at their factory. Due to this year’s pandemic, TFM was the first major furniture market to be held in seven months. Exhibitors noted in published reports that they are conducting business differently this year thanks to COVID. One factor that made this Market different was that Zoom was reported in use by some exhibitors who had calls lined up daily with buyers across the country. The technology is being used to help buoy sales during the pandemic. n Learn more about future events at www.tupelofurnituremarket.com. Hugo noted, “At Richard Mouldings, we have established a solid reputation through a firm commitment of providing our clients with outstanding service and quality products. Our mission is to continually improve our products and service to meet our customers’ needs. We feel we achieve this through continuous education on our part of our industry’s progression.” He explained, “We take relations further by remaining in continual communication ensuring your satisfaction. Relations with clients are cemented with expectations fulfilled and products delivered. On time delivery of complete orders can be a challenge. We have instituted procedures and systems to ensure a reasonable ship date consistently.” In 2006 Richard Mouldings expanded its facility to enable the housing of its different departments. This provided an opportunity to utilize space in a cost-efficient manner while at the same time increasing their capacity. Hugo said, “In the process of every order, all profiles require a CAD drawing with a detailed description of all-important elements. The specifications are noted such as tolerances and showing faces of the requested product. The production order will indicate the lengths needed, the exact measures, the species, the delivery date and any specifications that are important to that order.” He continued, “Our expertise is in the production of linear mouldings in large volume and we can as well provide our clients with special or smaller requests. To do this, we use three high speed moulders.” To increase their large capacity, Richard Mouldings housed in one building a German optimizing saw capable of handling lumber that is 20-feet long. “This piece of equipment and its layout has increased by twice our capacity in this department,” Hugo explained. He continued, “For precision cutting to the exact size, we operate two optimizers. These give us very accurate cutting tolerances and provide us with a capability to produce 600'/ min.” Richard Mouldings provides the expertise to supply moulding profiles of the highest standard. According to Hugo, the operation has the means to fulfill even the most demanding requirements. “We possess a repertoire of thousands of standard or custom profiles expertly designed to enhance the most demanding requirements,” he noted. When asked what he attributes the company’s continued success to, he said, “Throughout our long and challenging history, we have worked hard to earn our status as a leader and as an innovator. We have always strived to produce the highest quality products, by maintaining our focus on craftsmanship, great technology and renowned customer service.” n For more information visit www.mouluresrichard.com.
