These limitsare designed to provide reasonable protectionagainst harmful interference when the equipmentis operated in a commercial environment.This equipment generates, uses, and can radiateradio frequency energy; and if not installed andused according to the instructions, can causeharmful interference to radio communications.Operation of this equipment in a residential areais likely to cause harmful interference, in whichcase the user is required to correct theinterference at his or her own expense.Part 68This equipment complies with Part 68 of FCCrules. A label contains, among other information,the FCC registration number and ringerequivalence number (REN). If requested, thisinformation must be provided to the telephonecompany.The D9412GV4 and D7412GV4 Control Panels areregistered for connection to the public telephonenetwork using an RJ38X or RJ31X jack.The REN is used to determine the number ofdevices that can be connected to the telephoneline. Excessive RENs on the telephone line mayresult in the devices not ringing in response to anincoming call. In most, but not all areas, the sumof the RENs should not exceed five. To be certainof the number of devices that may be connectedto the line, as determined by the RENs, contactthe telephone company to determine themaximum REN for the calling area.If you experience trouble with the control panel,please contact Bosch Security Systems CustomerService for repair and warranty information. If thetrouble is causing harm to the telephonenetwork, the telephone company might requestthat the equipment be removed from the networkuntil the problem is resolved. User repairs mustnot be made, and doing so will void the user’swarranty.If the D9412GV4 or D7412GV4 Control Panelscauses harm to the telephone network, thetelephone company attempts to notify you inadvance. If advance notice is not practical, thetelephone company notifies you as soon aspossible. Also, you will be advised of your right tofile a complaint with the FCC if you believe it isnecessary.The telephone company might make changes inits facilities, equipment, operations, orprocedures that could affect the operation of theequipment. If this happens, the telephonecompany provides advance notice in order for thenecessary modifications to be made, resulting inuninterrupted service.This equipment cannot be used on public coinservice provided by the telephone company.Connection to Party Line service is subject tostate tariffs.
