Research purpose. To review the connections between different works of one personal exhibition “Myliu x I

love you x Люблю x Amo x Ich liebe” of the glass artist Sigita Grabliauskaitė by presenting a personal website.

Keywords: Text, Glass art, Sigita Grabliauskaitė, “I love you x I love you x Люблю x Amo x Ich liebe”, glass plaques,

glass exhibition, glass artist.

Research Methodology. Possibilities of glass technologies and their application in student lectures and creation.

Results / Findings. The artist has perfectly mastered the flat and sculptural form, which was especially revealed

when casting works of a realistic nature. The symbolism and theme of S. Grabliauskaitė’s glass works were very

intricately connected with personal experiences, interests and spiritual experiences. The themes of time flow, nature,

animals, and human analysis are most clearly developed. The artist’s works are also characterized by symbols,

associations, and stylistic hints of cultures of various periods such as Christianity, ancient eras, Secession,

etc., and the synthesis of which revealed the culturalological validity of the author’s world outlook and work.

Originality / Practical implications. The expression of the artist’s glass art includes two main areas - glass

plaques and sculptures. These works are full of associations and symbols that help to understand and percieve

the ideas conveyed in the artist’s works. S. Grabliauskaitė created not only panels, but also glass sculptures,

bringing storytelling and unique stories into attention. The artist mainly depicted a human figure or separate

parts of the male and female body such as torsos, heads and hand casts. In the paintings, the artist relied mainly

on an abstract artistic image, and most of her sculptures stood out for their extraordinary realism, even naturalism.

Such categories include series like „Miegantys laike“ (Figure 1. ”Sleeping in Time”), „Menininkų portretai

“ (“Artists’ Portraits”) and „Balti veidai“ (“White Faces”).

The horses depicted on the plaques (Figure 2 – 3) are remarkably different. Some are noticeably energetic, full

of feelings of bitterness dancing with whole bodies, others are jumping freely in an unlimited space, and others

are tired, with their heads down quietly rattling invisible grass. Horses seem to draw strength from nature and

from themselves. The works are reminiscent of archaism.
