UNDER PRESSURE I In the great saying ‘happiness is a journey, not a destination’ I would replace ‘happiness’ with ‘pleasure’ when I talk specifically about sex. When we get down to the dirty business of sex it is supposed that the goal of the whole affair, after covering all the bases, is the big finish at the end. And although orgasms are indeed regarded as the highest point to reach, often it tends to give certain stress when we are being pressured to get to it! It is frustrating when the pressing happens at the most vulnerable moments; when you are close to an orgasm but can’t quite reach it. One hot half-Dutch half-Turkish man from Amsterdam Osdorp used to come to my place for a while. The beautifully shaped, semi-hairy lower half of his early 30’s physique felt and smelled so arousing that I couldn’t help pounding it hard and long making him moan and cum so hard it almost hit a wall. And yet when it was my turn to cum, it was a different story. Hungry for my juice, he liked to place his face in front of my cock while I masturbated to finish myself off. But the sounds and the faces that he made -probably thinking they would facilitate my orgasm- were preventing it from happening. The greedy fuck yeah’s and ooooh-aaaah’s (the sounds I should be making upon reaching my own orgasm) were holding me back. It is no secret that orgasms are the absolute highest point of the sexual intercourse. Nothing compares to the explosion of senses inside your whole body, which is that much more exciting when you experience it together with someone. It is unfortunate though, that some get so preoccupied trying to reach the happy end, that they forget to take the time and the pleasures that leads to it. ‘Easy does it’ is something to remember if your partner is having a difficulty cumming. Ask yourself what excited him in the first place. Maybe certain positions of your body? Certain motions you made with your hands/legs/feet/mouth/ass? Gently ask him if you’re not sure! And just remember: whatever makes him hard, will probably also make him cum! Mounir Samuel (1989) is politicoloog, Midden-Oostendeskundige, opiniemaker en auteur.
