VRO Stem Adjustment
The VRO stem is a clamp that
allows the stem to be easily adjusted
up or down, depending on
the rider’s height or desired riding
position. The following instructions
explain how to adjust the VRO
stem.
WARNING: If you are in
any way unsure of how to
make these adjustments, take
your bike to a qualified bicycle
technician for professional
adjustment.
Step 7.1 Loosen the two bolts
of the VRO clamps with a 5mm
Allen wrench to adjust the height
and preferred riding position to the
rider’s preference.
Step 7.2 Adjust the VRO stem up
or down.
Step 7.3 Progressively tighten
each bolt of the two VRO clamps
until resistance is felt, making sure
that the inside faces of the clamps
are no more than 50mm apart from
each other. Then alternate tensioning
the VRO clamps to 90 in/lbs
(10NM) making sure that the angle
of the brake levers allow the rider
easy access to them.
