EUs Habitatdirektiv<br />

Norsk Ornitol<strong>og</strong>isk Forening – Rapport 3-2008<br />

EUs habitatdirektiv (Habitats Directive, 92/43/EEC,1992), artikkel 22(b) kan være relevant ift.<br />

introduksjon/reintroduksjon av dverggås:<br />

“Member States shall ensure that the deliberate introduction into the wild of any species<br />

which is not native to their territory is regulated so as not to prejudice natural habitats within<br />

their natural range or the wild native flora and fauna and, if they consider it necessary, prohibit<br />

such introduction. The results of the assessment undertaken shall be forwarded to the<br />

committee for information.”<br />

EUs Fugledirektiv<br />

EUs fugledirektiv (Council Directive, 79/409/EEC, 1979): <strong>Dverggås</strong>a er listet i anneks 1 i<br />

direktivet:<br />

“The species mentioned in Annex I shall be the subject of special conservation measures<br />

concerning their habitat in order to ensure their survival and reproduction in their area of<br />

distribution.<br />

Member States shall classify in particular the most suitable territories in number and size as<br />

special protection areas for the conservation of these species, taking into account their<br />

protection requirements in the ge<strong>og</strong>raphical sea and land area where this Directive applies.”<br />

Artikkel 11 kan være relevant ift. introduksjon/reintroduksjon av dverggås;<br />

“Member States shall see that any introduction of species of bird which do not occur naturally<br />

in the wild state in the European territory of the Member States does not prejudice the local<br />

flora and fauna”.<br />
