Cheque and cheque books not utilized.- In cases, where the necessity of drawing fundsthrough cheques ceases, all such cheque forms of the cheque books, which are not utilizedpartially or fully, shall be cancelled by the Drawing Officer by written ‘CANCELLED’ in blockcapital letters across the cheque forms and their counterfoils without signing them and then theyshall be returned to the Treasury Officer who shall destroy them by being burnt in the presence ofthe Collector subject to due attestation of a note in writing of the fact in the relevant records of thetreasury.Sd./- N.K.
