Curriculum Vitae - University of Delaware

Meredith Biedrzycki is excited to join the Interdisciplinary Science LearningLaboratories and looks forward to working with students and faculty to helpbuild a unique learning community. Meredith attended Millersville Universitywhere she earned a BS in Biology and attributes her love of teaching to theinspiring professors she encountered there. Meredith then joined theUniversity of Delaware where she completed her PhD in Plant and SoilSciences studying the involvement of root secretions in plant-plantinteractions. Throughout her graduate studies, Meredith assisted in teachinglaboratories and lectures in plant biology courses as well as communitybiotechnology science camps. After completing her PhD, Meredith continuedat the University of Delaware as a Post Doctoral Researcher where sheinvestigated histopathology and confocal microscopy techniques to study maizepathogens. She looks forward to engaging students in active learningexperiences, across disciplines, in hopes to give them an appreciation forbiology and to better prepare them for real life situations.
