It's Full of Stars! A Look at the Technology Running the EVE<br />

Àííîòàöèÿ: Learn from CCP Games team why, and more importantly how, they scale and control<br />
EVE Online in a single-server persistent universe. This session presents the architecture of the EVE<br />
Online universe as well as the technology details that allow CCP to run EVE profitably.<br />
Î äîêëàä÷èêå: Hilmar Veigar Petursson, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CCP, the creators<br />
of the sci-fi online game EVE Online, has led the company's explosive growth in terms of size and<br />
influence as evidenced by the number of CCP employees and EVE Online subscribers quadrupling<br />
since he took the helm in January 2004. Before his appointment to the CEO position, he held the title<br />
of CCP's Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of CCP, heading the engineering effort required to create<br />
CCP's persistent world technology and 3D engine. Prior to joining CCP in 2000, he served as the CTO<br />
of SmartVR.<br />
