Master Programme in<br />

Management of Logistics and Innovation 60 credits<br />

This programme focuses on strategies and methods for supply chain management, project organization and<br />

innovative leadership applied to both established and new industrial enterprise.<br />

As one option the programme offers a China profile based on cooperation with our partner Zhuhai College of<br />

Jilin University, China, and focuses on the interplay between Swedish and Chinese companies.<br />

The topics are closely linked to ongoing research,<br />

with the ambition to provide a combination of key<br />

approaches and methods needed to manage core<br />

challenges in contemporary businesses. Some key<br />

areas dealt with concern: strategies and techniques<br />

for efficient logistic systems and collaboration<br />

between firms, innovation management, production<br />

strategies for business excellence and methodologies<br />

for implementing quality and environmental<br />

management systems.<br />

Most courses within the programme combine<br />

theoretical models and insights with assignments<br />

and projects in industrial firms. The ambition is to<br />

provide a comprehensive understanding of business<br />

development, not least knowledge on how to combine<br />

and balance the needs of efficiency and lean<br />

production with long term innovation capability.<br />

The study major has a total duration of nine<br />

month taught courses (60 ECTS credits) including<br />

a thesis project work (15 ECTS credits). The programme<br />

is open to international students from all<br />

over the world.<br />

The programme language is English. After<br />

successful completion of the programme students<br />

are awarded the Master of Science in Industrial<br />

engineering and Management.<br />

(In Swedish: Magister i Industriell ekonomi).<br />

Start<br />

The programme starts in the autumn <strong>2013</strong>.<br />

After the studies<br />

One ambition is to prepare students for advanced<br />

and leading assignments in industrial firms and<br />

organisations, especially when complemented with<br />

operative experiences.<br />

Knowledge on logistics opportunities and well<br />

as methods for business development and control<br />

are useful in most business sectors. The programme<br />

also gives the student qualifications for further Ph.D.<br />

studies.<br />

Master of Science (60 Credits)<br />

Prerequisites<br />

A completed Bachelor?s Degree is the primary<br />

prerequisite. A deep knowledge in Industrial<br />

Engineering and Management is also required.<br />

Also required is knowledge equivalent to Swedish<br />

upper secondary school course English B<br />

or an Internationally recognised English test.<br />
