At the University of Gothenburg you’ll find one<br />

central library and some smaller libraries. The central<br />

library is the biggest and the other ones are specialized<br />

in a certain field. The small libraries are often<br />

found at any one of the nine faculties. For more<br />

At Chalmers you’ll find three main libraries, two<br />

at Johanneberg and one at Lindholmen. For more<br />

information visit, www.lib.chalmers.se<br />

The city library of Gothenburg is also a good source<br />

for information and is situated at Götaplatsen. More<br />

information is found at www.goteborg.se/bibliotek.<br />

Book Shops<br />

The widest range of course literature is found at<br />

Gothenburg Student Bookshop, an independent<br />

praisewhorty book store at Götabergsgatan 17.<br />

Chalmers Student Union have their own highly<br />

appreciated book shop, Cremona. Books are sold<br />

both in the union house at Johanneberg and at a<br />

book café on Lindholmen.<br />

Handels Student Association also have their own<br />

book shop, the high-quality Handelsboden. Here, as<br />

well as at Cremona, you’ll find everything you need<br />

to make easy your studies.<br />

Göta student union and <strong>Sahlgrenska</strong> academy<br />

Students’ union both have second hand book stores<br />

for their students.<br />

Sometimes you might experience any kind<br />

of problem during your studies and in this<br />

chapter you’ll find information about all the<br />

help you can get. You’ll also find information<br />

about economy, health and housing.<br />

Studying with disabilities<br />

If you are a student with disabilities you are entitled<br />

to special help. The help is given to you individually<br />

and before you start your studies you are advised to<br />

contact a coordinator for students with disabilities.<br />

Student lawyers<br />

In collaboration with GFS you can receive free legal<br />

advice from the student lawyers. They have a drop-in<br />

reception at Kaserntorget 11 B 6:th floor on Wednesdays<br />
