program kapsam›nda 2008 y›l›ndan beri "PETK‹M ‹stihdam<br />
Garantili ‹flgücü Yetifltirme" program› kapsam›nda 440<br />
nitelikli teknisyen istihdam edilmifltir.<br />
PETK‹M, sahip oldu¤u güçlü kadrosu ve yap›s›yla flimdiye kadar<br />
oldu¤u gibi önümüzdeki dönemde de özverili çal›flmalar›yla,<br />
yürütmekte oldu¤u yat›r›mlar›na devam edecektir. Fabrikalarda<br />
teknolojileri yenileyerek verimlili¤in art›r›lmas› amac› ile otomatik<br />
ve ileri kontrol sistemleri (DCS-APS) kurulmas› ve Kurumsal<br />
Kaynak Planlamas› (ERP) gibi yeniden yap›lanma çal›flmalar›<br />
sürdürülmektedir. 2010 y›l›nda planlanan 70 milyon dolarl›k<br />
yat›r›m sayesinde kapasitemizin maksimize edilmesi, teknolojinin<br />
yenilenmesi ve verimlili¤in art›r›lmas› hedeflenmektedir.<br />
Yönetim Kurulumuz, "‹yi Yönetim"in gerektirdi¤i uygulamalar<br />
konusunda son derece duyarl› davranmakta, Kurumsal<br />
Yönetim ‹lkeleri'nin içsellefltirilerek yürütülmesini özenle<br />
gözetmektedir. <strong>2009</strong> y›l›nda bu alanda önemli bir baflar›ya<br />
imza atan fiirketimiz yapt›rd›¤› SPK Kurumsal Yönetim<br />
‹lkeleri'ne Uyum Derecelendirmesi sonucu ‹lkelere "‹yi"<br />
derecede uyum sa¤lad›¤›n›, yönetsel faaliyetlerin kalitesinin<br />
yüksek oldu¤unu, "‹yi Yönetim" konusunda gerekli politika<br />
ve önlemleri uygulamaya ald›¤›n› teyit eden ilk derecelendirme<br />
notunu alarak, IMKB Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksi'ne girmifltir.<br />
Büyük küçük tüm hissedarlar›na, menfaat sahiplerine karfl›<br />
sorumlulu¤unun bilincinde olan fiirketimiz, bundan böyle<br />
de hissedarlar›na, tüm paydafllar›na ve kamuya yönelik<br />
sorumlulu¤unun bilincinde, performans›n› ve 'Kurumsal<br />
Yönetim ‹lkeleri'ne uyum sürecinde göstermifl oldu¤u<br />
baflar›y› art›rarak sürdürmeye devam edecektir.<br />

sa¤layan tüm çal›flanlar›m›za, ifl ortaklar›m›za,<br />
hissedarlar›m›za ve sosyal paydafllar›m›za teflekkürlerimi<br />
sunar; bugüne kadar oldu¤u gibi bundan sonra da tüm<br />
paydafllar›m›z›n güvenine lay›k olmaya devam edece¤imizi<br />
bir kez daha vurgulamak isterim.<br />

conclusion of this program on February 1, 2010, the 198<br />
attendees who successfully completed their training were<br />
added to our workforce and began work as PETK‹M technicians.<br />
Since the program began in 2008, it has provided secure<br />
employment at PETK‹M for 440 qualified technicians.<br />
With its powerful, experienced workforce, highly developed<br />
infrastructure and strong work ethic, PETK‹M will continue to<br />
invest in the future. Restructuring projects such as our Enterprise<br />
Resource Planning (ERP) and Data Center and Application<br />
Platform Strategies (DCS-APS) initiatives are ongoing, with the<br />
goal of updating technologies at our plants and increasing<br />
productivity. In the coming year, we aim to maximize capacity,<br />
upgrade technologies and continue to increase productivity<br />
and efficiency with US$ 70 million in planned investments.<br />
Our Board of Directors places the utmost emphasis on the<br />
Company's adherence to the principles of Good Corporate<br />
Governance and continues to closely monitor the adoption and<br />
implementation of Good Corporate Governance Principles at<br />
the company. One of the most important successes in this<br />
respect during <strong>2009</strong> was the "Good" independent Rating Note<br />
we received, reflecting our high standards of Capital Markets<br />
Board Good Corporate Governance Principles Compliance.<br />
Marking the first time our company has earned a rating of this<br />
type, this has also opened up the way for our company to be<br />
listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange's Good Corporate<br />
Governance Index. PETK‹M is keenly aware of its responsibility<br />
to protect the interests of both its minority and majority<br />
shareholders and will continue to build on its excellent<br />
performance in Corporate Governance, as it works to serve the<br />
interests of all its shareholders, stakeholders and the general<br />
public in the most effective fashion.<br />
