Mayaman <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> iba at iba<strong>ng</strong> kultura, a<strong>ng</strong> <strong>Paaralan</strong> <strong>ng</strong> Bessie Carmichael / Filipino Education Center ay<br />

i<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><strong>ng</strong> kayamanan <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> puso <strong>ng</strong> South of Market Area (SOMA). A<strong>ng</strong> ami<strong>ng</strong> mapag-alaga at mapagmahal<br />

na paaralan ay i<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><strong>ng</strong> tahanan <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> marami<strong>ng</strong> mga programa na siya<strong>ng</strong> nakatuon <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> pagpapalaki <strong>ng</strong> i<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><strong>ng</strong><br />

bata. Ngayon a<strong>ng</strong> i<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><strong>ng</strong> K-8th na paaralan ay nag-aalay <strong>ng</strong> mga programa<strong>ng</strong> bala<strong>ng</strong>kas para magbigay<br />

<strong>ng</strong> i<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><strong>ng</strong> aktibo at handa<strong>ng</strong> gamit <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> pag-aaral <strong>ng</strong> mga estudyante. Kami ay nagbibigay <strong>ng</strong> E<strong>ng</strong>lish<br />

La<strong>ng</strong>uage Development (ELD), Spanish Bili<strong>ng</strong>ual, at a<strong>ng</strong> natata<strong>ng</strong>i<strong>ng</strong> Filipino Bili<strong>ng</strong>ual at a<strong>ng</strong> Filipino<br />

Newcomer Program <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> San Francisco Unified School District. Mayroon din kami<strong>ng</strong> ka<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>ma<strong>ng</strong> iba<strong>ng</strong><br />

programa gaya <strong>ng</strong> Nutrition Program, SPARK Physical Education, Choir and Instrumental Program,<br />

Adventures in Music Program at Junior Achievement—at iba pa.<br />

Mga <stro<strong>ng</strong>>Pag</stro<strong>ng</strong>>kakataon para <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> Pakikipagtulu<strong>ng</strong>an <strong>ng</strong> mga Magula<strong>ng</strong> (2007-08)<br />

Nagbibigay <strong>ng</strong> seksyo<strong>ng</strong> ito <strong>ng</strong> impormasyon tu<strong>ng</strong>kol <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> mga pagkakataon para maka<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>li a<strong>ng</strong> mga magula<strong>ng</strong> <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> mga aktibidades <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>><br />

paaralan.<br />

Sa Bessie Carmichael/FEC, kami ay totoo<strong>ng</strong> naniniwala na a<strong>ng</strong> <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>maha<strong>ng</strong> bahay-paaralan (homeschool)<br />

ay nagbibigay <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> ati<strong>ng</strong> mga mag-aaral <strong>ng</strong> mahu<stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>>y na pagkakataon para maturuan sila <stro<strong>ng</strong>>sa</stro<strong>ng</strong>> lahat<br />

<strong>ng</strong> dako <strong>ng</strong> ami<strong>ng</strong> paaralan. Matindi nami<strong>ng</strong> hinihimok a<strong>ng</strong> mga magula<strong>ng</strong>/tagapag-alaga na aktibo<strong>ng</strong><br />
