FINANCIAL INCLUSION PLAN
As per guidelines of Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India and further
directions of Convener, SLBC, Haryana, Chandigarh for preparation of
F.I.P. a meeting of Leading Banks, Insurance Companies, DDM, NABARD,
Rohtak was called on 3/2/2012 in the conference Hall of PNB, Circle
Office, Rohtak by Lead Bank Office, Rohtak. It was decided that we
should work on the following guidelines for financial inclusion.
(1) BANKING FACILITIES:
48 villages which were identified in September, 2009 and already
allocated to different banks having population of more than 2000
are to be provided with banking facilities through approved module
i.e. Brick Mortar on BC/BF module upto March, 2012. In this
regard progress is reviewed in the every DLRC/DCC meeting.
- Villages having population of more than 1000 and upto 2000
allocated to different banks in DLRC/DCC meeting are to be
provided with banking facilities upto March, 2013.
- Other remaining villages shall be identified and allocated to
different banks in future.
(2) INSURANCE FACILITIES
All the insurance companies informed in the meeting that they are
providing Micro Finance facilities to the deprived class through their
agents, NGOs and Micro Finance companies. However, Life
Insurance Co. is planning to extend these services to the rural masses
by way of involvement of BC/BFs appointed by the banks in the
villages.
