LUNCHES AND TEAS
Lunches and Teas will take place in the Trade Exhibition Hall,
everyday. On Wednesday 13th April, packed lunches will be
available in the Exhibition Halls from 10:00, for all those
Delegates & Accompanying Persons going out on excursions
& for all other delegates as well.
Alternatively lunches will also be provided during the below
Industry Satellite Sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
& Friday.

DISCOVERY CPD SCANNING:
SOUTH AFRICAN DELEGATES ONLY:
Discovery Health is facilitating the CPD process at the
congress. The Discovery MYCPD staff will be scanning the
QR Code on your congress name badge twice a day, once in
the morning and again in the afternoon. CPD points will be
allocated for every scan so please ensure that you have your
QR coded name badge scanned twice a day for maximum
points.
The data is logged on the MYCPD website www.mycpd.co.za
where you can view and download your CPD Certificate.
You will receive notification via email with your unique
username and password 2-3 weeks after the congress.
Please contact CPD@discovery.co.za should you require
any assistance with your CPD Certificate.
CPD points will be allocated according to the rules and
regulations of the Health Professions Council of South
Africa (HPCSA). South African/local delegates will receive
29 Clinical and 17 Ethics points
International delegates can accrue 37 South African CPD
points.
CME points should also be accrued for international
delegates via their local accreditation bodies for equivalent
points.
All South African delegates will need to scan in twice a
day to claim their CPD points – once between 08h00 and
12h30 to claim their morning session and once between
13h30 and 17h00 to claim their afternoon session CPD
points. Ethics points will be scanned in the respective
venues. Accreditation of ethics points is only valid for South
African Delegates which are relevant to South Africa law.
Ethics CPD allocation: Ethics sessions will be scanned
outside the venue from 15 minutes prior to the presentation
times listed below.
Discovery CPD areas located outside the Plenary Venue –
Auditorium 1 and in the Registration Area.
Important Note
International delegates will not need to be scanned for
any sessions (including Ethics Lectures. Accreditation
of Ethics CEU’s are only valid for South African Law).
COMOC2016 will issue printed or electronic Certificate of
Attendance, stating that you will receive 37 South African
CPD points for the COMOC2016 meeting. International
delegates have to apply to their local accreditation bodies
for equivalent points.
These printed or electronic Certificates of Attendance,
can be collected from the Discovery Health CPD scanning
area outside Auditorium 1 at Cape Town International
Convention Centre from Monday 11th April until Friday
15th April 2016.
