William V Fisher Catholic High School

- A ten day suspension: 2 nd Offense.
- Failure of Conduct for the quarter that the offense occurs.
- Before the student is readmitted to school the student must have a
Substance assessment/evaluation by a certified substance abuse
counselor.
- Fifteen hours of community service, to be completed within two Months
of the occurrence. The nature of the service will be determined by the
Administration. Parents must agree to have the student drug tested on a
random basis at the request of the Administration, at the parent’s
expense. Results must be made available to the school.
Any further or additional violation following readmission to school will result in an
automatic suspension and a subsequent hearing will be held to determine if the student
should be expelled.
Any student involved in extra-curricular activities, including athletics and Student
Council, who violates this policy at any time during a twelve month calendar year,
will sit out, on the first violation 20% of games or activities (Scrimmages do not
count towards the 20%. Students will sit out of these as well). This does not include
the time that the student is out for the suspension. If a student is not currently
participating in an extracurricular activity, this suspension will take effect in the
first extracurricular activity following the violation. For this 20% the student may
be required to attend practices but is not allowed to participate in practice.
Students will not be allowed to dress for games.
Fisher Catholic will not nominate a student for any League, District, and/or state
awards if that student has violated our Wellness Policy. If a student is not
currently participating in an extracurricular activity this would take effect in the
first extracurricular activity following the violation.
A student who violates this policy will be denied, for a period of one calendar year, any
position of leadership in any sport or extracurricular activity. The student will not be
eligible for any letter or award that might be given if the student does not complete an
athletic season or term of commitment to the activity.
A second violation of this policy at any time in a student’s career at Fisher will result in
the student being denied participation in all extracurricular for thirty calendar days
following the suspension.
To establish that a violation of this policy has occurred, documentation must come
from one of the following:
‣ Staff member report
‣ Police report
‣ Student admission
If the school suspects a violation of this policy the school reserves the right to question
the student and search the student and his or her locker and automobile to ensure that
safety of the student and other students and staff at Fisher Catholic.
