<strong>William</strong> V. <strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Parent-Teacher-Student Agreement<br />

The <strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> Faculty agrees to the following:<br />

1. Parent phone calls/emails will be returned within one business day.<br />

2. Parents will be notified when a student’s grade drops below a C during the quarter either in<br />

writing, email or with a phone call in a timely manner.<br />

3. Teachers will set a policy in their classes with regard to obtaining additional help.<br />

4. Teachers will have a clear grading policy and a policy on the acceptance of late work in their<br />

syllabi.<br />

5. Teachers will make themselves available within 4 business days of a parent requested<br />

conference.<br />

6. Teachers will come to class prepared and ready to teach and offer a learning environment that is<br />

conducive to students doing their best work.<br />

7. Teachers will not gossip about students or their families.<br />

8. Teachers will teach from the Diocesan Course of Study and according to the lesson plans that<br />

they submit each week to the administration.<br />

9. Teachers will be fair and consistent in carrying out school and classroom policies.<br />

10. Teachers will keep the <strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> community in their prayers.<br />

<strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> Parents agree to the following:<br />

1. Parents will attempt to have their student take care of classroom issues first with the<br />

teacher before becoming involved except in very serious matters.<br />

2. Parents will return calls/email from teachers within one business day.<br />

3. Parents will attempt to contact and resolve conflict with the teacher before contacting the<br />

administration except in very serious matters.<br />

4. Parents will check the <strong>Fisher</strong> website on a weekly basis.<br />

5. Parents will read each teacher’s syllabus at the beginning of the course.<br />

6. Parents will bring their student to any conferences with teachers or administration.<br />

1. Parents will reinforce to their students that they are to come to class prepared, ready to learn,<br />

and that they will not distract others from learning.<br />

1. Parents will not gossip about teachers, other students or their families.<br />

2. Parents will keep informed about what their students are learning in school.<br />

3. Parents will support the school in the enforcement of the fair and consistent policies of the<br />

school.<br />

4. Parents will keep the <strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> community in their prayers.<br />

<strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> Students agree to the following:<br />

1. Students will come to class prepared.<br />

2. Students will not distract themselves or others from learning.<br />

1. Students will ask the teacher for assistance when they are struggling.<br />

2. Students will find an appropriate time to bring concerns to the teacher about issues of<br />

grading, teaching or discipline. This time is never in the midst of a class period.<br />

3. Students will keep their parents honestly informed about their classes and school issues.<br />

4. Students will submit their own work and will not cheat.<br />

1. Students will accompany their parents to any conferences with the teachers.<br />

2. Students will refrain from gossiping about other students, teachers or staff.<br />

3. Students will do their best to follow school and classroom policies.<br />

4. Students will keep the <strong>Fisher</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> community in their prayers.
