Accomplishments 2007 - <strong>2016</strong><br />
The Confucius Institute’s (CI) mission is to enhance intercultural understanding in the U.S.<br />
by supporting and organizing Chinese language and culture programs. NC State’s CI accomplishes<br />
this mission through a range of educational and outreach activities for students, teachers, businesses,<br />
and community members. The NC State CI helps to contribute to the support of Chinese language instruction<br />
at NC State and in North Carolina K-16 schools, offers enriching cultural opportunities for the community<br />
and helps organizations and businesses improve their international knowledge.<br />
NC State's CI opened in 2007 and partners with Nanjing Normal University.<br />
