National Honors Gala
at Confucius Institute US Center
Our Confucius Classroom at Enloe High School
had two students honored at the first annual
National Honors Gala hosted by the Confucius
Institute U.S. Center in Washington, D.C. on
September 24 at the Ronald Reagan Building
and International Trade Center. Sabrina Tran is
currently a rising senior. She has been studying
Chinese for over 10 years and hopes to use her
Chinese language skills in her future profession,
as she intends to study Chemical or Biomedical
Engineering in college.
Deja Watkins, a recent graduate of Enloe,
currently attends George Mason University
and is double majoring in Global Affairs and
Computational Data Science, with a minor
in Chinese. She studied Chinese for 5 years.
Our US and Chinese Director attended the
event and this event was a successful time to
honor and recognize CI’s contribution.

学 生 获 此 殊 荣 , 她 们 是 来 自 恩 洛 高 中 的 Sabrina Tran
和 Deja Watkins。Sabrina Tran 学 习 汉 语 已 有 10 年 ,
目 前 是 恩 洛 高 中 四 年 级 的 学 生 , 她 对 化 学 和 生 物 制 药
工 程 很 感 兴 趣 , 希 望 汉 语 能 力 会 对 她 未 来 的 职 业 发 展
起 推 动 作 用 。
Deja Watkins 学 了 5 年 汉 语 , 刚 从 恩 洛 高 中 毕
业 , 考 入 著 名 的 乔 治 · 梅 森 大 学 , 学 习 全 球 事
务 和 计 算 机 数 据 科 学 , 并 辅 修 汉 语 语 言 。 北 卡
州 大 孔 院 中 外 方 院 长 均 受 邀 参 加 了 本 次 颁 奖 典
礼 , 该 典 礼 是 对 北 卡 州 大 孔 院 及 下 设 孔 子 课 堂
在 汉 语 教 学 方 面 所 做 努 力 的 肯 定 。
