ORGANIC CLOTHING: WHY GO FOR IT?
Nowadays, wearing organic
clothes seems to be a new
movement to help the world.
More specifically, by changing
our habits and wearing ecofriendly
clothes like organic
cotton and bamboo clothing,
not only can we help our skin
and health, but we
can also help the
environment.
First of all, Clothing
Industries are
using chemicals
that are used in
cleaning products.
So, as the skin is
the first thing that
gets in touch with
the clothes, there
are possibilities of exaggerated
physiologic responses such
as allergies and in severe situations,
anaphylactic shock.
Moreover, it is generally
known that most of our
clothes are made of polyester.
However, it is not that
well-known that polyester
comes from petrol and that it
is toxic for our system. Therefore,
as ''green'' clothes are
made of skin-friendly fabric,
like cannabis, bamboo and
organic cotton, they are becoming
the solution to problems
like this.
Furthermore, nowadays fashion
seems to be the
''destroyer'' of the environment.
In particular, in order
to make the cloth, industries
are wasting a lot of water and
are using pesticides to grow
the inorganic fabric. On top of
all that, every clothing factory
seems to have its waste which
ends up in the rivers and soil
of the developing countrieswhere
most factories of the
garment industry are locatedpolluting
