Waste Management
We are aware of our role in the course of improvement, protection and development
of all environmental values, in all aspects, which form the living space both for
present and future generations, without putting in jeopardy the existence and
quality of resources that future generations will need, and attach a great importance
to sustainable environment. By complying with Environmental Law and procuring
this service from professional environmental consulting firms, our company has also
created a temporary waste storage facility for waste management.
Wherever possible, packaging waste (plastic, paper boxes, etc.) is utilized technically
in internal processes; otherwise they are sorted for recycling in a controlled manner
and without damaging the environment, and they are collected for recycling by
licensed firms authorized by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.

Waste derived from maintenance work and classified as hazardous waste (such as
residual grease, machinery filters, contaminated waste, metal chips and fluorescent
lamps) are disposed of by licensed firms authorized by the Ministry of Environment
and Urbanization.

The cooling water we use in the manufacturing process circulates in a closed
system. We have looked at the feasibility of recycling and reutilizating the pulverized
(sprayed) water which we use in the heat exchanger of our main cooling equipment
during the summer, and which is spread on the woodland; a decision is already
taken on implementing in 2016 an energy efficient new technology equipment that
does not require water cooling.
