MOTOR SPACE HEATERS
Wire-wound, silicone rubber-covered heater with 8” Teflon leads.
All heaters are 0.055” thick, insulated for 500°F and rated at 5W/in 2 .
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Lace unit to outside of end turns to heat the winding directly. Wire
contactor to energize heater when motor stops. This reduces
condensation and thermal shock. A lower heating rate is obtained by
applying lower voltage to the heaters. For example, two equal heaters
connectd in series produce 1/2 the heat of one heater at full voltage.
