Series 8<br />
DIRECTIONAL AXIAL<br />
Series 8 fans are axial flow fans, i.e., they force air to flow along the axis or shaft of<br />
the fan blade. The direction of rotation of a Series 8 is specified by the direction of<br />
rotation to blow air into the motor, when the observer is standing at the shaft end<br />
where the fan is mounted. For example, Photo 801 shows a counterclockwise fan.<br />
If you rotate the fan CCW on its axis, it will blow air into the page, or away from you.<br />
Photo 802 shows a clockwise fan. For CW rotation, the air is forced away from you.<br />
