Agata Buzek magnetizes people with

her strong personality and intriguing

and distinctive beauty. She is also well

respected within the world of artists

for a consequent and uncompromising

attitude to her career. She has

been developing her acting skills for

years while carefully selecting each

production.

Her talent has been recognized by the

great Polish and foreign directors, juries

of film competitions and what most

important, by the audience. She has

worked with great artists such as Peter

Greenaway, Marleen Goris, Krzysztof

Zanussi, Andrzej Wajda, Steven Knight,

Anne Fontaine, Claire Denis or Peter

Mullan. She was nominated to Orzeł

Polish Academy Awards for her performance

of Klara in The Revange by

Andrzej Wajda. She has received Best

Actress Award at the 34th PFF in

Gdynia and Eagle Polish Film Academy

Award for the part she played in Rewers

(Polish candidate to Oscars) by Borys

Lankosz.

Her versatility is truly amazing. She

played parts in comedies, tragedies,

costume films and contemporary movies.

She managed to play well a young

girl and an old lady in the same film. She

is also involved in classic, alternative

and off theatre productions. Her intelligence,

grace, tactfulness and sense of

humor makes her equally authentic as

a leading presenter during a posh concert

in the National Theatre as well as

actress in street theatre production or

happenings.

Agata Buzek also continually wants to

change the world. She is a co-founder

of the Arteria Foundation, which undertakes

projects combining the art, social

needs and education. She was an observer

of the first democratic elections

in Ukraine. She also supports Solidarity

with Belarus project and is an ambassador

of the Polish Humanitarian Action

that builds wells in Sudan. She has been

cooperating with Viva — the organization

fighting for animal rights. From the

animal shelter she took in two special

dogs — Brysia and Mambo. She was

born and grew up in Gliwice. Her roots

are connected to such qualities like

hardworking, openness and honesty

and it may be observed in any activity

she gets involved in.
