EN – As I’ve often said, I spend a lot of time in my hide.<br />
As I was sitting in the hide again, a blackcap suddenly<br />
appeared and took a refreshing dip in the water, which was<br />
only 2–5 cm (0.8–2 in) deep. Although I know which animal<br />
species can be found in a particular region, I am always surprised<br />
when a less frequent species comes to visit. The blackcap came by<br />
again and again that day. First there was a male, recognizable by the<br />
black “cap,” then the female with the brown cap. The blackcap is 13.5<br />
to 15 cm (5.3–5.9 in) long and has a wingspan of 20 to 23 cm (7.9–9.1 in).<br />
It weighs between 15 and 22 grams (0.53–0.78 oz). The typical song begins<br />

with a quiet, chatty verse and then suddenly increases in volume. During the breeding season,<br />
their diet consists of insects and their larvae as well as spiders. Unlike other warblers, berries and fruit are an important<br />

IT – Seduto in attesa, come spesso di mia abitudine nella mia capanna, all'improvviso è arrivata una capinera con la<br />
voglia di farsi un bagno rinfrescante nell'acqua profonda solo 2-5 cm. Anche se lo so quali animali vivono nella zona,<br />
rimango sempre sorpreso quando una specie insolita viene a trovarmi, da quel giorno però la capinera è tornata a farmi<br />
visita più volte, prima il maschio, riconoscibile da un ciuffo nero sul capo e poi la femmina con un ciuffo marrone sul<br />
capo. La capinera è lunga dai 13,5 ai 15 centimetri e ha un'apertura alare dai 20 ai 23 centimetri. Il peso varia dai 15 ai 22<br />
grammi. Il canto tipico inizia con una strofa sommessa e poi aumenta improvvisamente di volume. Durante la stagione<br />
riproduttiva si nutre principalmente di frutta, bacche, semi, granaglie, insetti, larve e anche di vermi. Gli insetti sono una<br />

DE – Wie schon oft erzählt, verbringe ich viel Zeit in meinem "Hide". Als ich wieder im "Hide" sass, tauchte plötzlich eine<br />
Mönchgrasmücke auf und gönnt sich ein erfrischendes Bad im nur 2-5cm tiefen Wasser. Obwohl ich weiss, welche Tierarten<br />
in einer Gegend vorkommen, bin ich immer wieder überrascht, wenn eine nicht alltägliche Art zu Besuch kommt. Bei<br />
der Mönchsgrasmücke war es so, dass sie an diesem Tag immer wieder einmal vorbeikam. Zuerst war ein Männchen da,<br />
zu erkennen an der schwarzen "Haube", danach das Weibchen mit der braunen "Haube". Die Mönchsgrasmücke ist 13,5<br />
bis 15 Zentimeter lang und hat eine Flügelspannweite von 20 bis 23 Zentimetern. Sie wiegt zwischen 15 und 22 Gramm.<br />
Der typische Gesang beginnt mit einer leisen schwätzenden Strophe und nimmt dann plötzlich an Lautstärke zu. Die<br />
Nahrung besteht zur Brutzeit aus Insekten und deren Larven sowie Spinnen. Beeren und Früchte sind vom Sommer bis<br />
in den März ein wichtiger Teil der Nahrung, anders als bei den anderen Grasmücken. Text: rsa<br />

EN – In February 2023, I went on a one-week trip to Istanbul.<br />
As soon as I got off the plane, I realized that the airport was<br />
huge. This in turn gave an indication of how large the city is.<br />
We made our first stop at the hotel in the center of Taksim, a<br />
district of Istanbul. Istanbul is an incredibly fascinating city<br />
with a rich history and culture dating back to the Byzantine<br />
Empire and the Ottomans. It is a very hospitable city. There<br />
are many friendly people who can help you find your way around<br />
the city and experience Turkish culture at its best. Istanbul lies on<br />
the border between Europe and Asia. With over 15 million inhabitants,<br />

it is one of the largest in the world. The city has a very rich and interesting history,<br />
as it was founded around 660 BC as Byzantium and then became the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire, better known<br />
as the Byzantine Empire. The city was conquered by the Ottoman Empire in 1453 and was the Empire’s capital until its<br />
fall in 1922. Istanbul is famous for its architecture, which reflects its multicultural history. The city has many monuments<br />
and sights, including the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and the Spice<br />
Bazaar. The city is also known for its food: There is a large selection of traditional Turkish dishes such as kebab, dolma,<br />
and baklava. Today, Istanbul is a modern and cosmopolitan city with a large economy and a lively cultural life. The city is<br />

IT – Nel febbraio 2023 ho fatto un viaggio di una settimana ad Istanbul. Appena sceso dall’ aereo, sbarcato in aereoporto ti<br />
rendi subito conto dell’ infinita grandezza. Fatta la prima tappa in Hotel al centro di Taksim, un quartiere della città. Noti<br />
che è una città incredibilmente affascinante, con una ricchezza di storia e cultura che risale ai tempi dell'Impero Bizantino<br />
e degli Ottomani. È una città molto ospitale, e molte persone si sentono grate per l'accoglienza calorosa che ricevono dai<br />
locali. Trovi gentilezze e molta disponibilità che puo’ aiutarvi a orientarvi nella città e a sperimentare al meglio la cultura<br />
turca. Istanbul si trova al confine tra l'Europa e l'Asia. È la città più grande della Turchia e una delle più grandi al mondo,<br />
con una popolazione di oltre 15 milioni di abitanti. La città ha una storia molto ricca e interessante, essendo stata fondata<br />
come Bisanzio intorno al 660 a.C. e poi diventata la capitale dell'Impero Romano d'Oriente, noto anche come Impero<br />

DE – Im Februar 2023 unternahm ich eine einwöchige Reise nach Istanbul. Sobald ich am Flughafen aus dem Flugzeug<br />
stieg, wurde mir sofort klar, dass der Flughafen riesig ist. Das wiederum lässt darauf schliessen, wie gross die Stadt sein<br />
wird. Den ersten Halt machten wir im Hotel im Zentrum von Taksim, einem Stadtteil von Istanbul. Istanbul ist eine unglaublich<br />
faszinierende Stadt mit einer reichen Geschichte und Kultur, die bis in die Zeit des Byzantinischen Reiches und<br />
der Osmanen zurückreicht. Es ist eine sehr gastfreundliche Stadt. Es gibt viele nette und hilfsbereite Menschen, die Ihnen<br />
helfen können, sich in der Stadt zurechtzufinden und die türkische Kultur von ihrer besten Seite zu erleben. Istanbul liegt<br />
an der Grenze zwischen Europa und Asien. Mit über 15 Millionen Einwohnern ist sie die grösste Stadt der Türkei und<br />
eine der grössten der Welt. Die Stadt hat eine sehr reiche und interessante Geschichte, da sie um 660 v. Chr. als Byzanz gegründet<br />
