Welcome to
Vojvodina!
We conceived "The Best of Vojvodina" as
a unique award in Serbia: it is a sign the purpose
of which is to annul itself eventually.
Only then, when it ceases to exist, will it
reach the goal for which it has been created.
That will then imply that exceptions have
become a part of everyday life and that the
number of the best ones exceeds the others.
Only in this way Serbia and Vojvodina can
be competitive with anyone, at any time,
anywhere.
There is a great danger that our homeland
ends up as a country in which the best-yielding
product is an alibi. Instead of competing
in responsibility, quality and innovations, we
are still more willing to make up new excuses
for idleness, poor goods or services. Since
we have been used to "nepotic socialism" for
decades, during which what really mattered
was not what you are selling, but to whom
and under which circumstances, we find it
hard to adjust to the market free from
monopoly, political blessings and the bestman
connections. Europe does not tolerate
this. Therefore, each and every certificate,
quality award or recognition of successful
exporters is actually a torch illuminating our
only possible way leading to general wellbeing.
We would not like Vojvodina and Serbia to
be recognised by stereotypes, but by quality
and achievements. Thus, it has been a long
time since the northern Serbian province was
distinguished by a draw well, a bay window
(kibitz fenster) and a plump "Lala" (the
native of Vojvodina) who looks on the world
standing on the pumpkin, but by the growing
number of internet connections, numerous
business incubators, technological and busi-
ness parks, satisfactory fair and tourist service,
quality products finding its way to buyers
across Europe.
"The Best of Vojvodina" is a project which
is the result of several years long team work
of the Standardisation Council, university
professors, accredited auditing agencies,
state institutions and provincial administration
authorities. The certificates are awarded
for the products and services that are selected
and verified by the procedure with clearly
defined mandatory and additional criteria.
The underlying characteristic of this
process is to recognise and promote quality,
insist on continuous improvements and
application of scientific and technological
achievements. It is the only effective way.
There is nothing like overnight success,
since hard-working and honest people sleep
at night. It takes years to make a competitive
product of a good quality. Our task is to
recognise and support those products and
hard-working people whenever and as much
as we can. The closer we get to the European
Union, the more often we ask ourselves what
can Serbia offer to the European consumers?
The project "The Best of Vojvodina" and all
similar actions give the answer to the above
question.

Dr Bojan Pajtic
Dr Bojan Pajtic was born on 2nd May 1970 in Senta. He completed primary
and secondary school in his hometown. He graduated from the
Faculty of Law in Novi Sad where he was appointed an assistant lecturer
at the Law of Obligations course in 1996.
Furthermore, he defended his master thesis entitled „Fiduciary Agreements
as Means of Providing Contractual Obligation Claims“ at the parent
faculty. He acquired the title of the Doctor of Laws on 16th June
2008 when he defended his PhD thesis: „Marital Property Agreement“.
In 2003 he assumed the position of the chief whip of the Deputies’ Group
of DOS and in 2004 was elected the chief whip of the Deputies’ Group
of the Democratic Party in the National Assembly of the Republic of
Serbia. At the sitting of the Assembly of the AP of Vojvodina, held on
1st November 2004, he was elected the President of the Executive Council
of the AP of Vojvodina and was re-elected to this position on 23rd
July 2008.
