PHOTO©GETTY T A SECRET LOCATION in the south of France this September, a small group of individuals gathered on a racetrack to learn how to drive. But this select few weren’t novice drivers. And their instructor wasn’t from your average driving school, either. Th e tutor in question was the exceptionally gifted Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel, twice crowned the fastest man in the world, and the motor enthusiasts had been invited to this under-wraps location because they were the fi rst to purchase one of the cars Vettel has given his name to. Knowing the man’s vocation, you’d be forgiven for assuming that the vehicle in question was a single-seater race-car or an elegant and energetic sports model. Instead the group were presented with an SUV: the Infi niti FX Sebastian Vettel Version. Of course, it’s not your average SUV. Faster, lighter, more powerful and aerodynamic than any rival, this collaboration between the F1 champion and Japanese carmakers Infi niti is so exclusive that only 50 are being distributed in Europe. Vettel’s SUV is also so light that owners need to be shown how to handle it – and who better to teach them than the man himself? Th e idea for the SUV was fi rst introduced shortly after Infi niti became partners with Vettel’s employers, the Red Bull F1 racing team, early last year. Vettel’s version of the Infi niti FX
