Aasiaat – town of the whales – is situated<br />
in beautiful natural surroundings with an<br />
abundance of wildlife.<br />
During the summer season, you can watch<br />
whales cavorting amid icebergs in the calm,<br />
clear waters.<br />
If you want something more challenging,<br />
there are kayak trips in the summer months<br />
to the skerries, where you can get really<br />
close to the beautiful scenery.<br />
Aasiaat Museum is well worth a visit. The<br />
museum has a permanent exhibition of<br />
historical indigenous artefacts on display.<br />
