While watching golf the other day on
television it occurred to me that T.V.
announcers who tell us that a player is
going to use a particular club to hit the
ball a certain distance to the pin are in
radio contact with the caddie. The Tour
caddie would know the course intimately
so I would guess are paid to feed the
announcer information as he moves
around the course with the player.
Perhaps we should have followed Jens
Antonsen around the Caboolture course

second place getter Hanne achieved will

The course was nice, the weather great if
hot, however the golf wasn’t the best for

Eric Broeng who was not lost or
abandoned claiming 77 in ‘B’ grade
followed closely by Torben Riise on 79
and a surprising 86 shot by Grant
Wilksch. Eight was a good number for
Jens who got the only “nearest the pin”
and followed up with 34 puts but was
only one ahead of Bill who claimed the
“B’ grade prize.
Being crook I wasn’t at the meet to see
our gallant bunch play their first game at
Caboolture but as always enjoyment was
allowed and welcomed, as it will on the
27 th . April at Keppera, with the 7:15 tee
off.
