• Cemented versus uncemented were associated with a lower risk
of failure to regain mobility RR 0.60 and post-op pain at one year
RR 0.51, but because of the underreporting of outcomes and the
small number of patients involved, no definite conclusions can be
made
• No difference between unipolar and bipolar arthroplasties
• No conclusions could be drawn between various
hemiarthroplasties versus total hip arthroplasties
• The role of bipolar prostheses is uncertain
