The main nave is from approx. 1170. The very particular
roof construction on the north side with the
fi ve adjoining house-ends suggests that there were
4 chapels. In one of these, you fi nd sculpture of St.
Dionysius.
The very rare and beautiful font is as old as the
church. Very unusual for an old Romanesque font, it
has a text: In the name of the Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Ghost” in Latin. The wall-paintings
in the choir are from about 1500’s, but they were
whitewashed after the Reformation, until they were
brought back to light again in 1929.
The squire’s chair suggests that for many years this
church was connected to the manor house Landting.
Das Hauptschiff stammt aus dem Jahre 1170. Die
sehr spezielle Dachkonstruktion mit den 5 Giebelenden
auf der Nordseite, deutet an, dass hier
ehemals 4 Kapellen standen. In einer der Kapellen
steht eine Heiligenfi gur des Heiligen Dionysios.
Das sehr seltene und schöne Taufbecken ist ebenso
alt wie die Kirche. Sehr ungewöhnlich für historische
romanische Taufbecken ist der lateinische Text: “Im
Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes und des Heiligen
Geistes“. Im Chor befi nden sich Kalkgemälde, die
aus der Zeit um 1500 stammen, die aber nach der
Reformation überkalkt wurden, bis sie 1929 wieder
hervorgeholt wurden. Der Herrensitzstuhl ist ein
Nachweis dafür, dass die Kirche über viele Jahre
zum Herrensitz Landting gehörte.
