SCHWERPUNKTE: This course is designed for teachers of advanced English who wish to
immerse themselves in an English-speaking environment and to practice
their English language skills. The activities consist partly of workshops in
small groups, either detailed study of the language, particularly advanced
modern grammar (level C2), analysis and discussion of texts, revising
idioms and collocations, etc., or in plenum, looking at aspects of the
English-speaking world. We will also read and discuss a novel. There will
also be evening activities, relating to English-speaking culture and society.

24.05 Scotland and Wales: history, traditions and food

SCHWERPUNKTE: The fi rst morning will be spent working on the history, traditions and food
of Wales. We will cook our own lunch preparing traditional recipes and in the
afternoon we will be working on quizzes, worksheets and handouts that can
be used in class.
On the second day we will have a look at the history, traditions and food
of Scotland. We will again cook our own lunch according to traditional
recipes and spent the afternoon with quizzes, worksheets and handouts.
