Endless tension springs ex stock
Description
All stock endless tension springs are right wound. The length Lo is 1000 mm. The specified forces and
spring deflections apply only in static or quasi-static conditions when tempered.
Material
The springs are manufactured using patented drawn spring steel wire EN 10270-1-SH / DH. S pring steel
EN 10270-3-1.4310 is used for the rust-proof version. The tolerances for wire diameter deviation are in
accordance with DIN 2076.
Surface
Springs made from steel wire in accordance with EN 10270-1-SH / DH are lightly oiled.
Springs made from EN 10270-3-1.4310 rust-proof steel are cleaned.
Heat Treatment
None of the compression spring strips are heat treated. This leaves the option of subsequent bending of
the loops open. To finish the springs, they should be heat treated.
Annealing specifications:
Material Tempering temp. Hold time on reaching tempering temp.
Spring steel EN 10270-1-SH / DH 270°C 30 min
Rust-proof spring steel EN 10270-3-1.4310 380°C 30 min.
Cool with air.
