40 Prozent. Um diesen Wert senkt die 400 qm² große
Solarthermie auf unseren Produktionsgebäuden den
jährlichen Gasverbrauch. Und damit auch den Kohlendioxid-Ausstoß
um mehr als 20 Tonnen.
Seit 2008 erzeugt die Anlage aus den ultravioletten
Strahlen der Sonne bis zu 90° C heißes Wasser.
Wasser, das zum Beispiel als Prozesswärme für unsere
16 Galvanikbäder mit insgesamt 23.000 Litern Inhalt
genutzt wird. Oder für die Waschräume der Belegschaft.
Oder für die Heizung.
Wir lernen kontinuierlich, wie mit unserem täglichen
Handeln Umwelt und Klima geschont werden können.
Wir stehen noch am Anfang. Es gibt noch viel zu tun.

40 per cent. This is the figure by which the 400 square
meter solar plant on top of our production buildings
reduces our annual gas consumption. Additionally, it
reduces carbon dioxide emissions by more than 20 tons.
Since 2008, the plant has been producing water of up
to 90° C from the sun‘s ultraviolet rays.
This water is used, for instance, as process heat for
our 16 electroplating baths with a capacity of a total
of 23,000 litres. Or for the staff‘s washrooms. Or for
heating.
We are constantly learning to protect the environment
and climate through our daily actions. A lot still remains
to be done. A start has been made.
